Building A Better Solution

Frustrated by overly complicated systems and unnecessary technical barriers, Robin Hood Limited began developing a practical web engine designed for everyday users — without requiring specialist technical knowledge. This product became VISAV (Virtual Internet Solutions that Add Value).
The platform introduced tools for:
• website management
• mailing lists
• visitor statistics
• secure online sales
• simplified administration
The focus was simple: create reliable digital tools that organisations could actually manage themselves.

2002

VISAV Limited Is Formed

As demand for the platform grew, VISAV Limited was officially formed in August 2002, with a dedicated technical team focused on development and support.
By this stage:
• the system had already been tested for over two years
• more than 100 customers were actively using VISAV services
• infrastructure and hosting solutions had been refined through real-world use

2010

Launch Of Neighbourhood Alert

Following development throughout 2008 and 2009, Neighbourhood Alert officially launched in 2010, with Leicestershire Police becoming the first customer through the “Neighbourhood Link” platform.
This marked the beginning of VISAV’s long-standing relationship with police forces and public-sector communication systems across the UK.

2020+

Supporting Communities At Scale

Over the following decade, Neighbourhood Alert continued to evolve through ongoing collaboration with partner organisations and annual development conferences.
During 2020:
• VISAV supported 42 partner organisations
• over 840,000 registered members used the platform
• 55 million emails were delivered nationwide
• the system played a key role in public communication during the COVID-19 pandemic
Today, VISAV continues to provide secure, UK-based digital systems trusted by police forces and organisations across the country.
